Håkan Charles-Harris, MD, RPVI, FACS is a well-known recognized leader in advancements in General, Vascular & Endovascular Surgery in South Florida. Dr. Charles-Harris received his medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and his surgical training from Mount Sinai in New York City. Dr. Charles-Harris is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Medicine, Endovascular, in addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was Chief of Surgery at North Shore Medical Center from 2003 through 2009, followed by Vice Chief of Staff of the Hospital from 2010 - 2011. He is currently a member of the Operations Committee and Medical Executive Committee and is a leader in new innovative surgical methods. While serving as Assistant Professor in Surgery at Florida International University's (FIU) College of Medicine, Dr. Charles-Harris has recently been appointed Director of the new Endovascular Institute for FIU at Jackson North Medical Center. With his extensive experience in Breast Cancer surgery, he has also been appointed Medical Director of the Comprehensive Breast Institute at North Shore Medical Center, which opened Summer 2013.
Dr. Charles-Harris has trained numerous healthcare providers from both local and international schools. He is a Clinical Professor for both Nova Southeastern University and Miami Dade College’s Physician Assistant Program. He lectures medical students at Florida International University. He also enjoys being a career counselor in the medical and nursing fields to high-school students.
After working in the Caribbean and North America, Dr. Charles-Harris brought his broad practical and theoretical background to South Florida in 2000. His practice is based in a private setting in North Miami. He performs surgery in both Broward and Dade counties and attracts patients from not only all over the State, but also internationally.

Heather Nunnelly PA-C is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. Heather completed her undergraduate studies at Auburn University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. She furthered her studies by earning a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies along with a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Nova Southeastern University, graduating with highest honors.
Heather has a passion for contributing to the community, both here and abroad, by volunteering in service projects and participating in mission trips. Her care and compassion for others drew her to this community and to our practice, where she is able to empathize and connect with our patients.
Genevieve Kornblum, PA-C is a Board Certified Physician Assistant, specializing in surgery. Genevieve completed her undergraduate studies at University of Central Florida, earning her bachelors degree in Health Science and her Masters degree with Honors in Physician Assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University.
Genevieve is bilingual in English and Greek.
